- Overview
The Completion Specialist is responsible for the specification, availability, and installation of completion equipment for the Bahrain Field
Responsibilities
- Works closely with Production Engineers and Artificial Lift Specialist on design, material specification, and type of completion equipment (packers, tubing, downhole equipment, artificial lift equipment, X-mas tree, etc) used in the Bahrain Field
- Develops completion inventory management system to track completion material requirements and ensure delivery / availability of materials as needed
- Liaises with Procurement to ensure materials are ordered on a timely basis and adequate inventory is maintained to meet annual work program and any contingencies
- Ensures contracting and procurements activities for completion equipment and services satisfy objectives of meeting project schedules at competitive prices with maximum cost recovery
- Implements a contractor management program to ensure completion services contractors are meeting minimum requirements in technical, safety, and experience. Holds regularly scheduled meeting with contractors to review performance, work programs, and expectations
- Acts as technical and operational expert on completion related activities. Supervises completion activities on well site as required
- Ensures HSE guidelines are being followed
- Prepares completion equipment prior to shipment to job site to ensure correct size, material, type for specific job. Tests equipment in workshop prior to shipment to well site as required
- Performs regular job observations to ensure workover crews are following correct procedures and guidelines for completion operations
- And other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Qualifications
BSc Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
- 10 years experience in completion engineering/operations
- Good knowledge of completions equipment e.g., packers, flow control devices, artificial lift equipment, etc. -
